RE: Baseball sized hail
Thankfully the second storm was only hardcore rain. I was super nervous. I was at border's books and I got a phone call that hail was coming in 20 mins. I put that AWD to the test that night. I took 30mph turns at 60 in downpours. She didnt even break loose. I am against excessive speeding and all that jazz but at that point in time I didnt care. I took a 15 min drive and made it home in about 4 mins. I havent heard what the insurance said about the Passat but I am assuming its at least $3k of damage depending if PDR works.
