I used to run 3 miles every morning in highschool, but its been a few years. I just started running again this week and I can barely do 2 miles at 10 min per mile. Are you running to lose wieght, or just for fun(phpht like exercise is fun)?

I find the best way to lose weight is High Intensity Interval Training(HIIT). Run as fast as you can for 2 min, jog for 2 min, walk for 1 min, then start over for as long as you can cycle it. by doing this your body never has a chance to fully adjust to the pace you are setting, so therefore it has to work as hard as it can throughout the whole run.

Also, If you run in the morning before breakfast, your body will be low on carbs from not eating all night. Your body burns carbs before fat, so with no carbs in your system you will burn fat directly and see more effective results. make sure you are hydrated though.

Jog, no. I have always hated running. Mountain biking, yes. Its extremely hard if you do difficult trails. That **** will get you in shape so fast. But I stick to roads alot, cause pedaling up rocky hills is less appealing when you have a CRF250 in the garage with a full race suspension. You just have to twist the throttle.

I and obligated to run seeing as tho I play soccer for a D3 school. Coach is on a power trip and wants us running 6 minute miles. Me 6 miles? Pssss yea right. But the best time I had was about 7 minute mile. But that's not good enough. I think running is boring as heck. I get bored before I get tired. Ide rather play (pick up basketball or scrimage soccer) to get in shape.

But preseason starts in 2 weeks. Doing 3 a days. Yup. 3 A DAYS. ****s gonna suck. But I have an excuse if I'm alittle out of shape. I managed to hurt my knee 5 weeks before preseason starts and the Doc said I had to stay off of it for 5 weeks to be 100%.

I walk around 6 hours 3-4 times a week just because of my job. While I would love to jog a little, it's just not practical to do so while wearing polyester.

lol, its a little off topic, but i had a friend that was told he could not graduate unless he did another paper for one of his finals because he used the same paper in two classes. instead of re-writing it, he just didnt graduate. instead he got his GED with ease, and now he is in college.

Its depressing to think that all the work I put into highschool was worthless because I could have gotten into a state university by just getting a GED which is cake.

i tried running. abso****inglutely boring. if it was more exciting i would have stuck with it. like if i had to run from a boulder rolling after me in a tunnel while dodging poison darts coming from the walls, pits with spikes, and rabid spider monkeys nipping at my heels

^ agreed. They should make a special track for people that think running is boring and ****e it up. Have different themes in which you have to run, let's say dogs, cops, your ex, or what ^he said. The darts and all that. Then people would love to run. I know I would.

Mostly just for the cardio, don't want to lose weight, but like to maintain little body fat. Also a good excuse to get some sun and the runner's high isn't bad.
