I bought a used BMW for my first bike. I also had never owned one before, only rode my friends scooters. The BMW was a 650 and is one of the best handling bikes. After I rode it for a year I bought a new 900 BMW and rode it for 9 years before I sold it. If I ever buy another bike ...I would only consider another BMW. But that's not something you can tell someone in so many words...it has to be experienced first hand to understand why BMW's are so much better than any other bike...period. You either know it from experience or you can't accept just being told.

For touring bikes they do have to be one of the best, but for performance the heavy bike leaves something to be desired...

i'm gonna have to vote for a POS used standard bike until the guy knows how to ride.
crotch-rocket + no riding skills =

Just a random fact...life span on a sportbike for someone who has little to no riding experience on motorcycles is less than 2 months...despite what CC the engine is.

My cousin has the same bike as you RaskyR1, does your paint look like a greenish color when its inside like a garage, and then its black when its outside. Thats how his was anyways. Does anyone know where that football player was when he wrecked? My cousin said he was riding with a group and see some guy wreck and said what happend to him and i think it was the same. Like broke his nose, knocked out his teeth, some other stuff.
I personally would just stick with the Huffy. Old time bike, cant go wrong with it. Make sure it has a Gyro though, ya know so you can do barspins and your brake cables wont get caught up.
