This is NOT my week (or about two weeks). In 2 years of having my license, I had one, just one, ticket. In the past like week and a half, I have gotten two! This morning, I drove my Mustang on my way to a dentist appt..and I was speeding cause I wanted to make it in time. I see a cop up ahead but on the other side of the road, so I only slow down a little. Next thing I see, the cop pull out of the thing he was in, flip it to my side of the street, put his lights on behind the person behind me, pass them, get behind me (riding my *** getting my info) and put his lights on. I was so frustrated even tho I knew it was my fault. I didnt have my insurance card cause I was in the Mustang, I had to look through everything to find the current registration, and I didnt even have my license on me. Luckily, the cop wasnt a jerk and didnt write me up for all those things. He radar'ed me at 77 in a 55. And its a safety corridor there so its double fines. Luckily tho, he dropped it to 70 (only 15 over minimum fine) and dropped the double fine. But still...Im going to be broke after payin all these damn tickets! Sorry, just wanted to vent.

 

Looks like it's time to slow down........or ride your bicycle instead.

"safety corridors" suck. The one where I'm moving in Eureka is 55mph and there's a citizen's safety group trying to get that dropped to 35mph. Sorry about all this bad luck. You haven't had any accidents have you?

No accidents while I was driving. I was sayin that to my friend today, with all this bad luck Im gonna get in an accident and my insurance will REALLY go up. Good thing I have it paid off til May. BTW does anyone know if my insurance is gonna like send me a bill for the extra amount since my premium will be going up...or will it stay the same til its time to renew it? And the crappy part is that I barely speed. This is the first speeding ticket Ive gotten, and I used to drive hella crazy when I first got my license. Back then whenever I got pulled over the cops jsut let me go. I think my Christmas wish list needs to be rearranged with "radar detector" as a first priority.

 

Wait you mean that radar detectors are legal in the states???? cool.... i wish they were here

 

you might not see an increase in your rates for quite some time. It all depends on when and if they decide to check your record. your rate should stay the same at least until the next billing period

 

2000 lowered si. I know how that feels. I got a ticket 2 months ago going 92 in a 55 and I the cop was an *** towards me. I got a fine of 375 dollars and lost 6 points on my license and even worse I had to pay the ticket on my birthday. Luckily my insurance has not gone up yet.
