to many scary stories from stands failing[&:]
i normally only usetwo 2 ton jack stands and leavemy hydrolic jack andalso sometimes my scissor jack under the frameincasethe stands fail. but i think ill start putting my steelies under the car and/or buy another set of jack stands to use as backup.

if u didnt read, many have had experience with cinder blocks cracking and crumbling when loaded.
something i dont think anyones mentioned yet is if ur only placing once side up on stands, to place wheel chocks behind the other side as added saftey to prevent rolling/movement. i always double check leaving the car in gear or having the e-brake on and place the wheel chocks snug agenest the tires.

Ok, now I'm scared of getting under my car again.I thought jackstands were like 99% safe, I guess not. So what is the safest way to do it then? Because I would like to know before I put my header and exhaust on now.
