Yea so a few hours ago I went to pick up my g/f and on the way back there is our local cop sitting next to a state trooper. (The local cop usually just sitsthere at the middle school) I didn't see them until I got close and the state trooper's car was turned the other way so they could sit and talk to each other. (which didn't make since to me when I got pulled over by the state trooper because he said that both of their radar guns got me a 39mph... how do you have your radar gun on me if you aren't even looking at the road?) Anyway so on the way home I pass them going 45mph (The speed limit is 25) but saw them and hit the breaks so thats how they got the 39. Well like 1/4 of a mile down the road the trooper catches up with me and pulls me over. I just about **** a brick because I think that I'm about to get a huge ticket and my car taken away from my parents but he was nice and just let me off with a warning and didn't even say anything about my 5% tint (My g/f said that I probably got off easy because I looked so damn innocent talking to the cop, I apparently was like hesitating and scared as hell but didn't even realize I was acting like that, plus not having any previous moving violations helps too ). I also think it is funny because after I passed the cops and realized what happened I could have turned off into a hidden road and they never would have found me and my g/f said I should but I was stupid and didn't think that the cops saw me so I didn't...coulda got away but I didn't. Anyway, I learned my lessen and I'm slowing down from now on. I knew something like this was going to have to happen for me to learn my lesson so thank god I got off easy and learned my lesson at the same time.

 

Well atleast you didnt get a ticket. Playing innocent always works the best, or if your a girl you can cry.

My friend got a speeding ticket yesterday. Doing 75 or somthing in a 50. I think it was like $170. He drives like a idiot all the time tho.

Dude the bad thing was that I wasn't trying to play innocent, I was just scared out my f-ing mind. I have been pulled over for neon and tint before but those times I wasn't scared because they weren't as big of a deal.

Yea definitly slow down in a school area. It only takes like 20 seconds to go through one at 25, no big deal.
Anyways, as for the radar. Most cop cars have 2 radars, one is pointed to the front of the car, and the other one points out back. There is a control unit in the front of the car, so it doesn't matter which way he is facing, he can tag you. Also, if you try and pull alittle sneaky stuff, that just causes the cops to look harder and be less generous when it comes time for a ticket. Some people also ask if cops can register your speed while they are moving, the anwser is "yes" they can.

BUT in a good point of view, i beat my friend in the amount of tickets he had. he had 5 parking tickets, 2 moving violations.
i got 4 parking tickets, 4 cosmetic violations (does that even exist?), and 2 moving violations. a total of ..... lets just say i woulda had enough for new rims and tires and more ...
