ok so me and my woman were shopping all day today outside Seattle at the Tulalip outlet stores, we left around 12:45 am. I stopped to get gas then I got onto the freeway and I see this mid-eighties BMW pull up beside me looking over. The first thing I think is that he wants to race. So I keep my speed and the guy flashes his headlights and pulls into the lane next to me (3 lane highway). I see him lookin over and he speeds up and gets infront of me. He signals off to the side of the road and I see his hand waving me over.

I dont really think anything of it and I pull over thinking maybe I left my gas cap open or something. He takes a minute and as hes opening his door I see him drop something. Its kind of a blur because it happened so fast but it was a long knife. My wife/fiance/girl starts screaming as the guy started to run to her side. I hit the gas, pulled out onto the freeway and was gone. All I can remember was the look on the guys face as I pulled away and the Oregon liscence plate.

For those of you who were at the Honda Tech meet on saturday , you know how far it is to the border from there. All that was going through my head was that the guy was going to try to catch up to us, and for those of you that know me, know that my car isnt fully tuned right now ( fuel leans out at vtec ) All I can think of is what was the guy doing? was he going to stick the knife to my womans face and demand to be drivin to the border? Was he running from someone? Did he just kill someone and was driving a stolen car? Did me and my untuned car just save our lives?

I cant begin to tell you how long of a drive it is to the border when you're looking in your rearview mirror waiting for those round headlights to come flying up behind you because you can only go so fast. On top of that before I left I checked my tires because I know theyre running low on treadwear on the inside. All I could think about was what if a tire blows or goes flat? Now, Im not a p*ssy, but Im also not stupid, or naive so I got the woman to call the state police. Needless to say we cruised at 5,500 rpm all the way to the peace arch where I could finally let my adrenaline ease up a bit.

I can only imagine all of the what if?s but Im glad to be home.

Glad to hear you and your girl are ok. Just goes to show you cant trust a DAMN person on the roads. Thats scary stuff right there. Give the police a descirption of the BMW, color, make model, description of the driver (best you can) and where it happened excatly. Hopefully they will catch the guy.

Thats scary sh*t, Ive had a knife pulled on me before so believe me I know. should of ran the **** over, and there is no way I would have a car like yours and not get it tuned. nobody would catch you then! except when you run out of fuel 5 miles down the road.

 

wow thats scary ****..unless i knew the guy i would never pull over if someone was waving me down, did you cut him off or somthing and he had a huge case of road rage?

..man, i could just imagen if he didnt drop the knife and had it behind him or somthing

 

damn dude, you did the right thing...

 

even untuned there was no way he'd be able to catch up in time to see if I had turned off. And no I didnt cut him off, i had just pulled onto the Freeway from a gas station where thank god I put fuel in (even though I had to use 3 bottles of 104 octane boost) Im just glad everything worked out and my fuel issues subsided until the next day. (since I threw launch control on with Uberdata ive been having problems with it leaning out at vtec)

scary stuff. dude that would really fix me from ever trusting some one that i found wanting me to pull over on the side of the road. but i am glad that nothing happend

that is also why i don't pull over when someone waves me down(even though i havent had that) if someone ever waves me down i will keep on cruising till the next exit, pull into a gas station and check out the car.. then keep on truckin. Glad to hear that no one was hurt...people like that deserve to be hit by a Semi truck
