Whats funny is all the countries with a "if you can see over the bar you can drink" dont really have alcohol prolems no where near as bad as the US. And it is fugged up with the law. You are forced to pay taxes like an adult at 15, you can die for your country @ 17 but you cant drink until 21. Hell, you cant even rent a car legally until 25.... im going to stop.... before I get all ragged out over the insurance thing... Pete knows how touchy I am about that. I must have given him an ear full at lunch about it.

I don't care what the age for smoking is. They could make that crap 100 years old and $100 a pack for all I care, but I agree about the military thing, but by that logic you should have to be in the military for that to apply.

lol true. and dont worry. i think i typed that in a tone that wasnt meant.
On the other hand, I just don't get the point of drinking if you're not at a bar or a club, and can't get sloppy drunk and dance. The only times I've gotten myself inebriated was at clubs, actually. It just has no appeal to me outside of that environment. But that's just me.

kids today got it hard ---back in the day when i was in h.s. (graduated in '80) drinkin age was 18 ---i remember sittin a local bar tanking down beer when i was 16 --never got carded[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

i remember the first time i got plastered. during my time at uti while i was 18 we went to mexico......hmmmmmn the good old days. now im more of a mixed drink kinda guy. crown and coke mmmm. although i dont get palstered anymore, its more of a relaxation thing for me.
