just getting discounts on parts and being able to represent a shop, might get some free stuff too. I'm sponsored for skating and i get discoutns on EVERYTHING, free boards all the time, and they also can get your name out to bigger companies for you.

but seriously, you're going to want more than just what you have so far. The jdm look can only get you so far, and sponsors are looking for original cars.
After you get some stuff to set your car apart for the crowd, go to as many shows as possible and just let everyone know what your car looks like. Check out http://www.carsponsorships.comand apply there.

dont go the sponsorship way its not worth it. are you active army or ng btw? if your ng then get a full time guard job they pay pretty good, i started at over 22 an hour in my state(yours might be different) plus if you go to iraq youll have a bit of play money too.

automotive sponsorships arnt what their all cracked up to be. for one thing, u need to build one hell of a car. if ur going for show, stock engine with simple bolt ons and "dress up" kit isnt gena cut it. a nice clean swap with some major work done would be a start. ur interior/exterior should be mint and have some major money put into it, not on half assed parts/installations and knockoff stuff. dont look for sponsorships, because u wont find one that way, sponsors come to u. if u somehow did get sponsored, expect to hand ur car over to them and be a guinea pig. my friend has a full sponsorship with RaceComp Engineering for both his cars. he said that its like having another job, having them test out parts on his cars and having to do race events constantly. its great cuz he gets discounts and such, but i think alot of ppl expect getting a sponsorship is simple and like a free ride to w/e u want, which it really isnt..

I dont understand why people get their nuts off about being sponsored. Build your car for YOU, not someone else.
Also, dress up kits and stupid crap like that will get you nowhere. How about maybe building a good car, with a bad *** built motor, and a big ol' turbo setup. That would show them that you konw what you're doing.
Otherwise, you've just another dime a dozen Honda Civic with a body kit...
