It's an economy car, not a performance car. There are aftermarket hop-up parts that can help but it's still not going to be the fastest thing on the street.

What kind of car did you drive before you bought this one? If you came out of a V6 or V8 then you're not going to be happy with this one if you still expect it to pull in the rpm range you mention. Drive it easy and enjoy the gas mileage. People who go lead footing it around all the time usually don't get where they're going as fast as they think they are. I can't tell you the number of times I've had some idiot in a <insert whatever car or motorcycle you care to here!> that went weaving in and out of traffic, punching the gas, then the brakes, then the gas again, trying to be in front of as many people as possible, only to find me sitting right next to them two red lights down the road.

Drive Safe,
Steve R.

Hondas make the best power in the high rpm so after 5500 is when the good power kicks in.

whats the point of driving if you shift under 3? The only time I shifted under 4 was in traffic.
