1st video game
In 1958, William Higinbotham created the first video game, a tennis game played on a 5-inch (13-cm) display.
“Pong”
How many of you have played it? Atari 2600 with the paddles?
Think about how far we have come in those 47 years, and try to imagine what games (or anything) will be like in another 47. Sick.

RE: 1st video game
The next step for video games is going to be a complete replication on screen in terms of people, places, objects, etc. to a point where the video game will be indistinguishable from reality. Once this is done there is nothing else that can be accomplished unless we're all willing to have our nervous system tweeked with like the blind guy who had a video camera attached to his optic nerve. Live the video game, be in it. Matrix is the final step.

Someone needs to come out with an affordable racing simulator. With ALL different kinds of racing (rally, auto x, road, F1, whatever) I'm not talking GT4 with a chair and steering wheel mounted together. I want something like that video that was posted here not too long ago, i'll dig it up. But anyway, if i had one of those, i'd be set for life.
