Default 1998 nissan 200sx

found this on CL its a 1.6l 5sp shes asking $800

"Selling my Red Nissan 200 SX . I need a 4 door car now.

She has 170,00 miles on her, and the engine is beautiful,(for Nissan lovers ,she is just breakin in) however cosmetically she need shelp. She has front end damage ,where I was side swiped. The driver window no longer goes down and the dashboard lights are out. The sunroof also leaks, probably just needs to be sealed properly. The air works while the car is in motion, but gets hot when car is idle.

To get her road safe ,she needs a couple tires and her left wheel berring need replaced and an alignment. One of the rims is bent too.

I get about 35 MPG . I will post pictures soon.

I want to be up front with the issues and hopefully a Nissan lover, like myself, that has the time and knowledge to fix her up."

what do you guys think?
left wheel bearing, fix the a/c fan, fix driver window, fix sunroof, and the dashlights are probably a fuse(?)
how much is it worth and since i dont know much about nissans what are the goods/bads about these cars

Well, first off the engine is missing it's turbo and it's pointed the wrong direction*

Seriously, expect to pay at least the cost of the car in repairs alone from the way the ad describes it. Honestly, I'm not sure I'd go for it. On the bright side, the engine in the car is borderline bulletproof and will run forever. The downside is it's ball-less as a sonuvab*tch.

You'll need to replace the wheel bearing and get it aligned, and it's going to shake like crazy unless you replace the wheel. On top of that, you need to buy tires for it, the window doesn't move, the dash lights don't work, the sunroof leaks, and it has collision damage. I'm pretty sure I'd pass it up.

*for non-nissan guys out there, the 200sx in question has a transverse-mounted SR20DE engine. The 180sx had a longitudinally-mounted SR20DET, the same engine with the addition of a t25 turbo.

Well f*ck me sideways... I was thinking 200SX SE-R. Bases and SEs came with the even more ball-less GA16DE, an engine so sucky it produces power comparable to the d15b7... despite having twice as many camshafts

Definitely don't f*cking get it.
