06 SI
There is this guy i know that is looking for a car in the 20K range. I naturally recommend him to buy a Honda, a 2006 SI in particular. So this guy tells me today that he went and test drove an 06 SI over the weekend, he said he drove a SI with an automatic transmission. I told him thats not possible, they don't come in auto. He said that yea they do, i drove one. I got home and called the dealer he went to, the salesman said "impossible". What really pisses me off is when ppl do that kind of ****. I don't know if he was lying or what. The guy refused to believe that the SI didn't come in automatic. Wait till i see him tommorow, i'm gonna have to rip him a new one. I knew that the SI didn't come in auto, but i thought that there was a slight possibility that Honda came out with an auto version. That is the reason i didn't really get on his case, even though i knew that Honda wouldn't make the SI in auto. Tommorow i will hold nothing back.

Thats what i'm thinking. If i was there, i would ripped the salesperson a new one till next week. The thing is, the kid said that the "SI" emblem was on the grill. I'll find out tommorow, if he was lying he will have to admit it tommorow.

it jus sounds like the guy you know really wanted to impress you by saying the dealership had an si, from what i know si's are reserved and already spoken for because they are in high demand. the waiting list for them in socal is so long that they won't let anyone test drive them around here anymore. they are sold the minute they hit the dealership.
or he could just not know that much about honda's

^ I concur.....the car sells itself and there is no need to test drive. I'd be real surprised if a dealer had one no sold before it comes in until later in the year.

even if there is an si in the dealership you have to ask the price. maybe no one has touched that si because its way way way over priced with mark ups from hell
