Default 05 V6 Mustang, kinda impressive.

I was up in Colorado with some family and my cousin got this V6 Mustang, 05, I was impressed with how it performed. 4.0 V6 with a SOHC, 4 speed auto with a traction control off button and 4 wheel disk breaks. I took it for a spin, torque is a beautiful thing! It was a huge improvement over the last generation of the V6 mustangs. But i wouldnt trade it over my civic any day (sh*tty gas milage though). Has anyone else drove one? whats your opinion on them?

I would never, under any condition, buy a V6 Mustang. I don't think that the Mustang is a bad car, i just don't want a V6. To me, the V6 mustang is a girl's car. As for how it handles, i don't know since i've never driven one. The one thing i like about the V6 mustang is that it doesn't have those stupid center lights. I like the new mustang look, i'd drive one. Its a pretty good car for its price, you can get a brand new V8 for under 25k which is damn cheap considering you get 300HP and 320 FT lbs of torque. Its a V8 so its not that hard to make hp,

Why would you by a Camaro or a Mustang with a V6? Tha's like Corvette putting a 3.8L in it because someone wants the look but not the performance....I just don't get it? It's a Fnnnn Sports Car!!!

he couldnt afford the V8, and every Mustang i seen in colorado was going for 30k, his mustang was 22k. Plus most of those guys will smoke my car so i dont talk crap about cars that are faster, these mustangs are faster than the 302 mustang and it has a v6, so i was impressed.

The MSRP on a base GT is 25k, but the price in some places is higher than others depending on what cars sell. Sometimes if you goto a town where mustangs don't sell you can get a really good deal. My teacher got his wife a new mustang GT convertable (a couple years ago) for a couple thousand under MSRP b/c he found a place where the mustangs didn't sell.

because the V6 mustang is the worst of both worlds...poor power, and poor mileage. my stratus isnt a screamer, but on trips, i get 28mpg...the mustang, on the other hand, gets poor mileage, and is slow...buying a "muscle car" with a V6 is like going to ruth chris steak house, and ordering a vegan salad.
