My thoughts are pretty level with yours. However, I will say that some of those cars are received or bought in a condition that really isn't worth throwing down some serious cash if you're just some young kid or blue collar worker. What also kills me is how they just say, "Hey, we just rebuilt the engine and rewired the entire electrical system. I would much rather see how they're doing all of that.
I think a far better idea would have people right up proposals for things they would like to do to their rides, but obviously can't afford. Whoever has the best ideas, gets to bring in their car and West Coast Customs helps them with their goals. Plus, they would be given a cap so they'd have to prioritize the list of ideas.

That show is a big joke. They now have pimp my ride UK. I watched some clips on the internet and it looks much better then the american version.

i think its absolutely rediculous. like for example, a kid on there had a 240 that was looking like it could be a decent project car with some body work and wiring. he had a carbon hood, some good looking 17's, a good looking drift kit (unpainted though mind you) , and a sparco seat. they turned it into the most ungodly monstrousity of a vihichle i've ever seen. the added one of those fugly street fighter kits, a massive wing, painted it lime green with yellow and orange vinyls, an engine "dress up" kit (no actual work to the engine). wtf? mtv is slowly destroying the youth of america.

I dont even know why they call it MTV anymore. All the chitty station is is just stupid real world and crap like that. TRL sucks too, theyll just play a 30 second clip and they get back to 40 minutes of commercials and then they are like "Hey Hey! How bout that new song from Juvenile huh?" And im like how could you like it if you heard so little of it. [:@] .

thats why i watch mtv2. they play mostly music videos and the stuff that isn't music is like the good shows mtv used to have like jackass and beavis and butt head

I don't pretend to know all about engine stuff and because of that, I rather watch a show that modifies the engine and shows step by step on how to do it yourself.
What I hate about Pimp My Ride besides everything else, is the reason they do it, "because we can." That's a stupid and arrogant reason to do something...I think I can kick his @ss but I won't or will I....lol
