FOG Lights added, keep blowing, Hot wire.
I installed 2 fog lights and grounded it to the frame of the car. I ran the positive wire to a switch to turn off and on the fog lamps and then powered it to my fuse box to a plug that turns them off when the key is off in case i forget to switch off the switch.
There was a inline fuse at one time and it melted and so i connected it directly. The wire from the fuse panel to the switch is very hot when touching it and i keep blowing out fog lights after short time. One at a time. When i replace one the other blows out a short time later.
Besides putting another inline fuse in..,
What else needs to be done. The wire from the fog lights to the switch is NOT hot and around 14-18 gauge. The wire from the fuse panel going to the switch is around 10-12 gauge and is hot when you touch it.
Thanks
