i did the same thing except my needle didnt break, it just came out. Now that i put it back in, it doesnt even work, so idk man, good luck with that.
Anyone know how to fix a needle that out anyway? Its back in there all right but it wont turn or nothin (this is for the Engine Temp gauge).

So I did the same exact thing. I called the stealership to ask them about it they said it costs like 90$ to fix it. So since I plan on keeping the car I bought a new guage cluster from a junkyard. When you install the guages just place them on top of the factory ones you dont take the old faces off. It just creates alot more hassle.

RE: umm yeah dumbass move....
well see thats the thing....the old ones were in 3 pieces unlike the new ones from speedhut which is just one big *** piece....soooo you have to try and put it on all at the same time and if your by yourself its a pretty big pain in the ***.The temp had something keeping it in place or something so if you look its the only one that doesnt have a stop pin.....So if it comes out or breajs your pretty much screwed on that deal.....EFFIN SUX!!!!!

RE: umm yeah dumbass move....
well yeah kinda....they are all connected, not like the other ones i had that were 3 pieces thats what made it alot easier to put on but the ones i got from speedhut were all connected so that made it a bitch to get on there if you dont have help which i didnt..

RE: umm yeah dumbass move....
dang solid piece.... that sounds imposible to put on due to the temp/gas gauges.
but for cheaper just keep looken on ebay for a used set.......
i only paid like 26bucks for my cluster.... tho i snaped the needles off the temp/gas needles, the MPH needle and painted over the tach.LMFAO
just look on ebay and buy a new set....
o and this time I GOT A IDEA FOR YA.......
take apart the cluster!
the tach, speedo, and tach/gas are three seperate instruments... simply remove the silver screws from the rear of the cluster and the face and electronics should simply slide out of the front with the small black bezel removed also...
then you should be able to twist around the new face overlay around to get it onto the temp/gas gauge needles first then slide it over the speedo and then the tach.... that should make it ALOT EASIER to instal a solid overlay!!!!!!!
just be carefull puting all three units back in very carefully so ya dont pull on the needles any....
