Yeah, that's the plastic showing through, that won't buff out. You need a paint touch up pen... like one of these: http://www.paintscratch.com/

You must have some good moniters cuz i cant see that at all. It just looks like paint rubbed off from a black car. This is kinda wierd but the same thing happened to me and i had to replace the whole bumper. the body shop said it was too deep and i had to get a new bumper. O and i just got my car back today from the shop

If you can feel the scratch with your fingernail, it's to the plastic. If not, try some meguairs Scratch-X
If it is, try getting some touch up paint from the dealer (it's not that expensive). What you want to do is clean the area really well and then lightly put on a coat of touchup paint. Let dry, wet sand and repeat.

I dont think they could sand it because of the plastic being cut so deep. But i got rear ended by a girl at my school, shes the one that payed for it. Are you sure Pcupo cuz i went to 5 body shops and they all said, new bumper.

the only problem is that thos touch up pens looks so bad after they dry..if you like do try body work i would tape that part off, sand it all down and repaint, it will be alot more work but also you wont even no there was a scratch there if done properly
