yea there's a shop that is near my house (they actually have several throughout the nation) the offer national lifetime warranty and i believe they use F1 film. i shouldve been more clear i meant any suggestions on how much tint i should get and if i should go for the front driver and pass windows (even though technically its illegal)

I say 35% all around. Someone is selling a 99-00 Civic SI which has 35% all around and it looks extremely well done. Check the classified section for the pics.

i think 35% all around is a bit too light. are you looking for the same percentage all around? or darker in the back and lighter in the front? i have 5% in the back and 35% in the front.

i want darker in the back and lighter in the front (mostly because its illegal in cali to have it in the front). if it wasnt i would rather go all around.

i would assume that by 35% you mean VLT and not 35% tint. if you mean 35% VLT in the fronts that would probably be too much for me. i probably want to go with the lightest tint possible on the fronts so it doesnt draw too much attention from the popo, but just enough to get the job done and have a nice flow to the back.

I have no idea what VLT is. I never saw anything lighter than 35% just as bx civic stated.

I used to have 20% all around in my 93 Civic, got hit with a $106.00 fine and had fun pulling it all off and scraping the windows. Got pulled over for 35% up front and 20% in the back (like bx_civic) in my 98 Civic (another $106 fine) and again, had alot of fun pulling it all off and scraping the windows. My current 99 Civic has no tints on it and a quiet WS2 exhuast, and I have never been harassed by the popo yet for anything.

In my 98 Civic, I was pulled over for my exhaust being too loud (Megan Spec R exhaust - not sure of the name honestly... but it was raspy and horrible sounding), I then got out of the car, grabbed my silencer and installed it right in front of him. He then pulled out a meter to check my windows since he noticed that they were tinted when he couldn't cite me for the exhaust noise. In PA, ANY aftermarket tinting is illegal, so he fined me for it. Personally, I'm done with tints.

VLT means visible light transmission

the law for CA is that there must be 70% vlt in the front side windows

personaly id do 5% rear and whatever is legal in the front because if they have a reason to pull you over they will look for more to ticket you for especially in california and in MI you can do a 3" strip on the front window I don't know about cali but it looks sweet
