tint help
i wana get tints, but i would like to ask some questions first
3 of my buds got tints and all of em are diff
one is full limo, one is 15% rear/20 % front, and one is rear limo with 15 % front
I Love the limo rear with 15% front, and i was thinking about full limo. However, I am wondering how much darker 15% is from 5%
i might go with limo in rear and 5% in front, or 5 % in rear and 15 % in front
does any one have pictures with 15% in front with 5 % in rear? or all around 5%?
i dont want too much trouble backing up, thats why im thinking with going with 5% instead of limo. Also i want to be pretty much impossible to see through my driver window, would 5% be just as efficient as limo? I most definately do not want 20%, it is way to visible for my liking. Especially under lamp posts or bright lights.
also i have heard rumors from my friends that there is a type of tint that when looked at from diff angles, it changes colors. Not only that but when looking dead on, it looks like grey or something, but still impossible to see through. If this is true, what is it called and how much does it cost

RE: tint help
If im not mistaken 5% is limo tint.
I would just do what legal in your state cause anything lower will land you in trouble with the popo.
Im waiting till next spring to do mine but im doing the limit of 27% all around. It will look pretty nice and ill be happy with the less heat from the blocking of the sun.
I had 20% all around on my last car and at night it was kinda dark and hard to see out of with the windows rolled up and i like to keep the windows up in the winter so ima go a little less dark this time around.

RE: tint help
15% is nice. I just did that on my little bro's cobalt (black car btw) and it looks sick. When I get home I'll post up a pic of my neon...its 15% all the way around. ...soon as I have some free time my civic is getting 15% all around as well.
It's dark enough that its hard for people to see in...but I dont feel that its so dark it impairs your ability to see at night. Legal here is 30% in front...and I had that with 5% in back on my old s-10 blazer and it wasnt enough up front to even feel like it was worth it.

RE: tint help
I have 5% in back, nothing in front. Let me tell you, seeing out of my back windows is pretty hard at night... actually, the only thing you can see out of them is lights. But I haven't gotten hassled by the cops for the tint yet (cops around here really don't care about tint from what I can tell)

RE: tint help
I have 20% on the sides and 5% in rear of my hatch.
Sucks to see at night through the back.
Try mirrored tint, that's what I have on my side windows.
You can see through them and also have be "private" looking in.

RE: tint help
Actually I'm pretty sure that 2% is limo tint. I've seen it before, and i've also seen 5%. Not a whole lot of difference either way. I have 20% all around on mine. It seems lighter than my other car I did in all 20, but that might be cause my other car is black. Either way...
TINT=Hard to see at night! I have a hard time with my 20% at night... let alone 5 or 2! E****ally with winter rolling around, how often are you going to be driving at night... your window will almost have to come down to see anything. I'm not necessarily talking about on-comming cars, but **** that doesn't shine likecurbs when you try to make a turn, or deer in your peripherals(sp.).
Just stuff to think about when purchasing tint. Not bashing it at all, I love my tint and would probably go 5% in the back if Icould to do it again.
