ya this is why i used some cloth gloves to instal my header..... it will stay beter looking ALOT LONGER if you dont touch it....
tho of course my dad DID touch my header so it did have one small finger print spot that turned purple realy quick
for the most part mine just turned a goldish color...
the new cloth gloves trick worked great for keeping the header looking decently even color change....

it's not that he didn't want it to discolor, it's that he's concerned with how uneven the discoloration is. Like, look at the runner coming from cylinder #3 (the fingerprints or whatever). And even so, I still think it looks good.

scotchbright pad might take it off ...depends on how long its been like that tho ....ok well i'll say it this way ...when you weld stainless ...and you get a little discolored(blueing) scotchbright cleans it right off .
