Ok my friend decided to drive my car drunk totally ****ed it up. I had $1000 of damage to the front left axle area and sway bar ect... that's all fixed now and it's back to driving condition. My tires(rims) on my car are these special edition Honda rims that can't be found anywhere except maybe canada so i'm driving around on a steel wheel. Also my left side fender is totally bent up and sticking out. SO.... my questions are this.

1.) what is the cheapest way to fix the body work? I was thinking deffinetely to buy a side fender online from ebay or something either a normal or maybe an agressive racing one and just have the body shop paint it to the perfect matching color. What is the charge for just one side fender ? Compared to say a whole body kit...

2.) instead of paying $200-$300 for that one rim should I try and sell the other rims on ebay and just put $1300 into a new wheel/tire setup ?

I've tried to provie some pics to show what happened and all some some pics of my car. In the side pic of the damage area under the side skirt that is one of my white neon bulbs that got busted also thanks to him.

some friend[sm=icon_beat.gif] it might be cheaper just to replace the fender ---just did mine last month --paid about $55 for the fender & it took about 1 hr to put it on

 

First of all, I hope that guy isn't your friend anymore.

So was the wheel totally destroyed? I have the same rims, and I've seen one other person around here with them too. They're not on my car right now though.

It might be cheaper to buy a new fender than repair the old one. Post a "wanted" notice in the classifieds section of this board, you may find something.

 

I hope he learned that hes not good at driving drunk. I have also done an extensive search for your wheels. Couldnt find em... sorry.

 

are those wheels in high demand? are they really going for $200-300 each??

 

First question that comes to my mind is: How did your drunk friend end up with your car keys?
Second question: Shouldn't your friend be paying for the repairs?
Third: Are you telling us the whole story?

get a stock fender.....55 bucks or around there......get some new rims.....ull be happier with them in the long run. They will make ur cars appearence jump up a few levels.

 

first. How bad is the axle? if it messed up your steering your looking at much much much more than 1000. and second you let a guy drive drunk? you know there are families out there. i really dont want my daughter and i to get hit while my hubby is overseas well i never want to get hit at all. my daughter is only 6 months she could die with only a fender bender! i hope that sits in someones head tonight before the street racing starts in. i was hit when i was pregnant. we still dont know how much brain damage my baby has becase of a drunk driver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please dont do it. but anywho. fender just pic it up a junk yard and pain it yourself. air compressior and some pain and poof your good (paint the fender off the car). i really hope your friend has plenty of money cuz your gonna need it. if he wont pay up. sue him. you will get your money to fix it. if your have strut damage its much more than a 1000. did you tell your insurance for atleast a quote. i would get a qoute (three of them) tell your friend this is the cheapest one and say i want this much! if that doesnt settle well i say sue. take him to small claims court (you can represent yourself there very easy). but umm you shouldnt be paying anything. if it was your friends fault he should pay and who ever was in the car should too for letting him drive drunk. and oh did you make sure there is no frame damage!
