The snow isn't the bad part. You don't want to ride on wheels like that during the winter because of the salt they throw all over the roads to deter the ice. The salt will basically eat the clear coat/paint away and make the wheels look like crap.

thing about the stocks is, that the tires on them are well worn out, and i figured if im getting new tires, might as well just get new wheels and new tires. it would be kind of annoying to get new tires for the new wheels and the stock ones! :P

I would try and make the tires on the steelies last. Then get something like snow tires on them for when the weather is bad and have all weathers on the aftermarket wheels you decide to get. That's what my plan is for my steels.
