rookie paint question

Default rookie paint question

i dont know to much about paint but someone told me i have to get my car wetsanded since i jus got it painted a little more trhan a month ago??? is this true and wut will wetsanding do?

wet sanding and buffing will get the orange peel out of the car and any slight imperfections. did u paint the car because the shop might have wet sanded it for u..

nope, i got a shop to do it, i dont know if they wetsanded it, how do i check and see if i have orange peel

you see orange peel by just looking at the reflection. Orange peel is when you look at the paint and the reflection of yourself... isn't quite a true mirror image. All paint jobs are supposed to have a little bit of orange peel, because it hides little dents/dings better, but when it's bad... the paint's surface just looks like an orange peel, all bumpy and not a true reflection. If they sprayed it well it shouldn't have too many spots on it to wetsand, i would just check the spots that would be awkward to spray, like the quick curves at the end of your fender/around your trunk bending down... otherwise if he was a good sprayer he shouldn't have left too much peel

i dont see any of that, i see i pretty good reflection of myself when i look in the paint
