sounds pretty in-depth
i'd imagine it'd require some cutting and welding, might be hard to get it to line up right though. idk

whatever site i was on said you drill out the welds to get it off, it is just spot welded and glued on i believe, just wondering if anyone has done it or knows about how to do it

well if your talking about just reskining it than thats fairly simple BUT remember this to remove/ instal a new roof you need to take out the front and backglass....
inshort i would definatly just cut a patch panel and weld it to the sunroof opening on the roof.
but i must ask. WHY THE FU** would you do a swap from sunroof to no sunroof? IMO if it leaks just seal it with some silicone, close it and disconect the sunroof motor

well the car came with an aftermarket sunroof, it leaked so i sealed it, i got an oem sunroof from a junk civic and took out the headliner today and to my surprise the roofs were different. so i just want it out now and want it to look good, would just welding in a patch look good and close to stock?

as long as you take your time and just tach weld it slowly then it should be fine.
but i would still just seal the cheapie sunroof to the roof and then replace the headliner inside the car to a smooth one
just open up and clean the glass and roof really good with some brake cleaner works good, and on sunroof put silicone all around the sides and close the roof and then from the inside roof silicone it as well.
