Default Red Line

I just bought a new gauge cluster for my 94 dx coupe, and the redline on the tach is at 7200. I've seen some at 7500, and some upwards of 8000.
I understood that 7200 rpm's is standard redline for my car, but now I'm not so sure....
Am I right, or did I blow it and get a tach with an incorrect red line for my vehicle????

the 8000+ is jdm sirII w/ a b16a. your redline is, i believe, at 6800. it will be very hard, if not impossible to find a gauge cluster with that redline. some form of the non-vtec engines came in the dx, lx, and cx. non of these cars had tachs as an option.
