Default RE: Red LED cluster and heater controls (pics)

I discovered another complication, the circuit board powering the LEDs is giving them right around 2.1v. Blue doesn't light up at all, but red is lit up almost to full brightness. My only other options (short of finding some low voltage LEDs) is yellow (don't have any) or orange. Bah.

Oznium tech specs:

Color Current (mA) Brightness (mcd) Min Voltage (V) Typ Voltage (V) Max Voltage (V)
Blue 20 4000 2.8 3.5 4.0
Green 20 5000 2.8 3.54.0
White 20 8000 2.8 3.5 4.0
Red 208000 1.9 2.3 2.6
UV 20 300 2.8 3.5 4.0
Yellow 20 8000 1.9 2.3 2.6
Orange 20 2000 1.9 2.3 2.6

And I'm sorry, but the brightness thing is crap. Blue is so much brighter than red. Then again, red is also significantly darker, whereas the blue is almost a cyan....

Bah. It looked so nice on the pretty little chart that it pasted into the post form as. But of course it didn't show up that way....

if you using the right resistors it shouldnt be a problem....
remember the stock leds have resistors inline as well, so youd have to unsolder them and replace them with the right size resistor.

Theoretically. I replaced all the resistors with my own, I got everything working this early this morning, plugged it in, the defrost, air cycle, and a/c are fine, but I blew the four other buttons. I obviously forgot to put resistors on the LEDs of the remaining four buttons. So yeah... Put those on, tested it out, worked great... put my car back together, went back to make sure it still worked... yeah. It doesn't. This is pretty much the only thing I've had this much of an issue with. I'm somewhat assuming one of my soldered joints came up. My boyfriend has the soldering iron, so I'm stuck using my grandfather's like, forty year old soldering gun and solder. Our soldering stuff is so much better today. You flat out, cannot, do anything small with this soldering gun. Augh.

Also in the past week... I put white superflux's in the maplight its like freaking day when I turn it on now), flexible red LEDs in the domelight (seriously lights up the car, I'm going to get another one now to even things out though). Fixed my climate control heater diagram (put a white flexstrip behind it so its true colors). And I replaced my turn signal indicators with green LEDs. I don't really want to replace any more cluster lights til I steal the soldering iron back.
