rear seat is out, what should I put there?
yeah the title line sounds funny....
I bought a 98 civic 2dr ex a few weeks ago and am in the process of cleaning it really well, the previous owner was a slob...
I have all of the seats out right now and am really liking all of the room with the back seats out, but the "floor" section directly below the rear seat cushion is really ugly... I know that plenty of people have removed their rear seats and but subs and crap there.. I don't want anything heavy there, but what did you guys put to cover up the ugly metal section directly under the rear seat cushion?
Thanks.

hay you can get this car interior vynil on e-bay. it straches really well so you could heat it up and glue it down fitting all the contours on the floor, but if you do put somthing down watch out for the fuel sensor under the passenger seat. you might need to get to it one day.
p.s. nice car

You could get a rear seat delete... basically, they cover where the seat used to be, and they're covered in oem carpet, so it gives your interior a finished look while removing the back seat. I'll see if I can't find the link, someone posted it in a thread a month or so ago

IMO just put the seats back in.... the rear seats fold down! so saying you dont have alot of space is total crap....
if you haul stuff you could always do like the previous owner of my 96dx did... just unbolt the side hinges.LOL just open the seats and pull them out....LOL ya ghetto but since i dont have the bolts im leaving it as-is when they are locked in they stay inplace just fine! the small seat will lift up from the bottom about 6inches or so but the larger seat is held inplace by the pin in the center.
but if you really want to delete it its quite simple with some MDF depending on if you ever plan on puting anything heavy on it .... 1/4inch for light moderate stuff stacked on it 1/8inch thick if nothing at all will ever touch it.... 1/2inch if you plan on medium stuff and 3/4inch thick if you think some friends will jump back there or want to use it as a bed.LOL
the rest is simple side trim and feet bracing to make it sit all level.
