quick paintjob questions, please help
So I recently bought a 94 ex coupe. It was primered by it's previous owner, supposedly ready to paint, but I hear you're supposed to sand the car down real good before painting it. Do shops usually do this? There's a small section by the sunroof where the primer has cracked off, so I assume it needs sanding badly. Is it possible to sand it down myself? Would you sand down the whole car or just that spot and reprime it? How difficult would that be? And how much do you think a shop would charge for a sanding, repriming, and painting?

yeah man you'll wanna reprime.. but it depends on teh rest of the car if you would sand the rest.. if its a little rough itd be a good idea to wet sand the whole body.. its a small car it would only take a couple hours just do each panel seporate.. it would make for a better outcome in the end.. i don't kno if the paint shop would charge to sand that or not i've never got a shop to paint anything for me but i would assume they would.. the primmer would be extra for sure tho i would think cuase its materials but thats all shop specific
