Default Problem with LED install

I started to install flexible LED strips under my front dash today on both sides, and wire them both to a switch next to my E-Brake. I bought an Add A Fuse to put into an empty slot with power. Then wired that to an inline fuse. But im confused on what to ground. Theres a ground on the strip and on the switch. Do I need to run the ground from the switch and the strip to a ground spot? Ground 2 wires? I know how to power them, just confused about the 2 ground wires.

I have the switch where it needs to be. I have the fuse box, inline fuse, then the switch together. Then I need to connect the red wire of the switch to the strips. But I dont know about the ground wire of the switch AND the ground wire of the strips. 2 grounds?

Is the switch an illuminated switch? If so, then it needs to be grounded for the light for the switch. Just ground each wire to bare metal somewhere nearby.

Ground is any metal part of the car or interior, the strips simply need any ground and the ground for the switch is to work like the strips to light the led up when on......... Honestly it's really simple.

Just run the power in one side, and out the other. Don't even worry about why it says ground. If you have 3 prongs that means the one that says ACC is for the light for the switch.

well the 2 grounds dont have to tie together... the ground on the switch is for that led INSIDE the switch. not realy needed but the light in the switch wont come on when the cars started up... so ground it anywhere as well as flexstrips ground anywhere
