yeah i dunno, i looked closely inside the light and it looks like there's an orange reflector that the chrome picks up and makes it look like the whole thing is orange..

if i paint it and it looks like crap, that's not only time i've wasted.. unless i can remove the paint without ruining the light.

i can't tell what part i'd be painting though, and if it'd affect the parking light. honestly, i'd rather just try to find a good deal on some OEM lights that don't have the orange in them. or maybe i'll swap lights with my mom's '00 civic and see if she even notices... lol.

I think she would notice if her headlights don't fit on her car anymore one day.

dunno.. mixed it up with all the other parts i've been looking at on ebay... lots of 96 97 98 and 96-00, 96-98, etc in titles... stuck in my head.

they look very similar in shape and size.. thought they were the same. w/e..

if you paint them and dont like it as long as you didnt sand them before painting you can use brake fluid to take the paint off
but im pretty sure you can take out the reflector and replace the parking light with an orange bulb

I read a DIY that went through the disassembly process on a 96-98 style headlight. The orange lens on the bottoms of the headlights can be removed. The orange reflector thingy around the actual bulb can also be removed. Just replace the clear bulb with an amber one. I think the actual thread was some sort of headlight rejuvination or DIY headlight makeover or something worded like that.
