RE: paint code
i just bought some paint from carquest....
also pepboys... remember the paint code go into the store and either check out thier paint area for thier paint code book that will tell ya what codes to look for on the small spray cans or tiny touch up bottles....
what you trying to paint or touch up?
if a small touch up scratch get the tiny touch up bottle.... if painting a larger piece like mirror/grill or something small the spray cans work good but you also need clear coat for the spray cans...
also with spray paint cans... ya might want to practice alittle

RE: paint code
well if its just scratches... see how deep the scratches are... fi they are light... thiers a chance they are just into the clear coat... and just alittle fine sanding on them could take the scratch or scuff out... and then just buff it back to a shine........
but if its realy deep then id just use that brush aplicator into the crack AFTER CLEANING IT realy good! use a soft brush or even a old tooth brush and the cleaner
thats what i use...
then fill the crack with the paint so its raised alittle from the other paint and then after its good and dry... use a sanding block and some fine sandpaper again to knock the paint down level... and again just buff it to a shine.
ya dont need to repaint the whole thing unless you go to alot of shows... and then spray paint is not the answer.LOL
