I painted mine gray too
yours looks better though, you can see what effect proper prepping has on the finished product. Mine is ford engine block gray, btw

I think the few blue hoses go well with the couplers on your intake. Might I suggest new bolts for the heat shield?

LOL yes you may. I am going out in a few minutes on the hunt for some stainless bolts that will work.

And as for the hoses, I ordering some black hoses and couplers for everything.

New hose clamps for the upper radiator hose and maybe a new ground wire from the valve cover to the body are some more cheap things that would make a huge difference

The gray looks so much better, the header cover looks good polished to, I wouldnt paint it, or paint it black.

I am gonna leave it polished. I figure that way all I have to do if it gets dulled down later is run a brillo pad over it.

Also, does anyone know the size and thread pattern of the header cover bolts? The header is hot now and I forgot to chekc them. LOL

i'm not 100% sure, but i brillo mine and i replaced mine with stainless hardware awhile ago, it looks a 100x better than before. i just used some of my dad's leftover stainless pieces from my shop, so i just eyeballed it, i'm not sure.

yeah i liked it in red. but im going to paint the cover black w/ either the bare metal thing or white. did you just use heavy duty engine spray paint?
