I would say go as dark as you can go without getting in trouble with the cops.

I say go a little darker than is legal. You won't be noticed by cops if its close to legal and you get to have darker tint. I didn't think Texas is that strict on tint stuff. Depends on the area tho i guess.

I know in VA for a car its got to be 35% all around. But on SUV's/Trucks it has to be 35% on the drivers side and you can go as dark as you want on all the other windows (Except the windshield of course)

But anyways, I am thinking about going with 25% on the rear windshield and the two side windows and doing my drivers side 35%. Should keep the cops off my case and make the car still look pretty good.

i think I had 15% on the old hatch and it worked really good. and was within legal limit.

Go up to Audio Depot on I-20 and Matlock and talk to them. They have done 4 cars for me and my family and never any problems with any of them. Not even a single bubble that I have ever noticed. And they put a warranty on all their work for something like 7 or 8 years. and their pretty good with pricing too.
