I am thinking about getting this body for my 05 civic, i believe it's 7th gen right? what do you guys think about the price and the actual kit?

Body kits aren't usually my bag, but i'm digging that front bumper, and the side skirts are allright...

 

thats badass and only 200+shipping..id get it...i was looking at bodykits for my car and they ranged from 600-2000 and that changed my mind real quick but if i found one that looks that good for that price i would snag it definately

 

I think body kits are ugly usually. Thats not as bad as some, but the point is that its fiberglass, which is full of fail. Youll break that kit by the slightest bump. If youre gonna buy a kit, make it urethane or something sturdy, thats just my $.02. I cant see spending 400$ or so on a kit + installation and paint only to rip it off on a speed bump. Lip kits are win

 

Yeah ebay kits aren't always the best idea. I've never bought one, but everyone on here will tell you it's worth spending the extra money to get a urethane kit. And even then, it's just smart to buy from a reputable site.

shipping will take forever, quality will be sh*t (its gonna be brittle figberglass), fitment will be like sh*t (my sideskirts just all together didnt fit, gaps in all my bumpers), and overall it'll just be a bad experience. Beleive me, i had a $480 ebay body kit just like the link. Either do it right once by getting a polyurethane/ABS body kit, drop the money on a professional paint job and make sure it fits perfect, or eitehr get a lip kit and call it a day. I know everyone says lip kits instead of body kits, but i've had both, and after about a month or two with the body kit, it'll start to look too gaudy and just overall be way too much work, not to mention if you actaully get a nice kit that fits well and is high quality, it's gonna be atleast $1000+, where as a lip kit could be bought, painted and installed for like $500 or less.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to check product was any good. Ok, so I'm getting that idea that a lip kit is better than a body kit. Where should I look for good lip kits? I get a good deal on pro painting because I work for enterprise so that won't be a problem. Let me know about the sites for good Lip Kits. Also, what is the difference between the two? Thanks.

umm ok... the r34 kit isnt bad.. i kinda like body kits, the clean ones anyway. If you want to get one, just buy it from a speed shop or something. I was looking in to getting one on my 7gen too. Not one single body/paint shop in town would work on a body kit that I brought them. Every one said they could order it and do it but would not touch a cheap kit. A lip is just that, its a lip that goes on your factory bumper. There are some nice ones of those too for the 7gen. Just check around. I believe like procivic.com has some, they are pricey but it should give you an idea of whats out there.
