I have yet to see an actual plug and play HID kit... I've installed about 8 kits in my friend's cars and they've all been fun to wire together... no splicing, just alot of wires!

PIAA (9000 series Intense White) and Sylvania (Silverstars) make 4100k (Halogens are 3100k) plug in bulbs. The Sylvanias are about $50 ea. The PIAAs are about $60 ea. Easier install than the HID kits, but not as bright or white. My nephew bought HIDs for $150+S/H for his truck from this guy: http://www.higherlevelauto.com/products.html He and all his friends recommend these.

I am going back and fourth between HID and plug ins. The previous gen of Silverstars only lasted about a year for me. Not sure if the 2nd gen is any better. A co-worker has the PIAAs (2 or 3 years old) and loves them. I think the PIAAs have a lifetime warranty. The guy selling the HIDs says they can last 10 years under normal conditions and proper maintenance.

How can you be in between HIDs and halogens? That is retarded, HIDs will last 10x longer and 10x brighter. There is no comparison, just a price difference.

PS. Silverstars and PIAAs both suck and are waay overpriced. The closest to the HID look are NOKYA brand hyper blues and they're like 30-40 bucks. I've done every single brand of headlight and HID is the best.
