This is sort of related to appearance. In light of my radiator being stoned to death by someone in front of me skidding out on rocks, I'm looking into putting something there to protect my new aluminum radiator from that happening. I really don't want to get a new bumper (can't afford to paint it right now) so I was thinking of gettingsome wire meshand cutting it to fit on the inside of the bumper vent. Question one is obviously would this effect airflow to the radiator and (not that I ever use it) A/C? I'm assuming thats doubtful. Two, are there any companies that make something like this? And if not, three,where the heck can I geta fairly small amount of wire mesh?

 

Yeah they make it and it won't effect airflow to the point of concern. If you can't find it in the States or online I know they have it at every auto store here in Japan. Give me a buzz if you can't find it and I'll pick up a pack of it. Costs around $40 on the market here. Black and silver I think, but it can be painted. If you need it send me some dimensions.
