Default leds under dash

I'm thinking about installing some blue leds under my dash that go to a switch on my center console, next to the ebrake. The problem is I have no experience with electrical wiring lol. But I want to learn and try to do this myself.

I was looking on ozinium.com at the led flex strips that I've heard are bright and work great, but is their an easier method that would work better for someone just looking for plug and play, and is novice?

My dad does know stuff about wiring, but for inside houses. He says with cars things are different with grounding and neg and positive being oposite or something. I've searched around but can't find a good write up on how to install lights under the dash going to a switch. And most of the language asociated with wiring electricaly I can't follow easy...

So any tips, diy's, write-ups, or other info you guys can give me so I can achieve puting lights in under my dash?

It would be most apreciated

would 2 1.2" led strips be sufficient? One for each side under the dash. Can I get the fuse from an auto store is it like a standard fuse lol I have no idea.

Ok well thinking about it 1.2" is prolly way too small lol. I'm going to gettwo 4.7" led flex strips, round rocker switch, and a 5 amp ATC fuse to be safe. All from oznium.
