hey guys i just bought a leather kit for my 2000 ex on ebay for 140 bucks shipped, its brand new. Its tan in color (not my first choice, but i basically stole it for 140.) I was going to attempt the install myself because i have been reading alot of step by step installs ive been researching, do any of you guys have any install tips? Also, how much do you think it would be if i got it installed at an upolstery shop? Thanks

 

for that price i seriously doubt its a katzkin kit.....

 

also i was thinking about getting some new carpet, any body know what kind to go for? Thanks

 

the dude sent me the papers from katzkin that came with the kit, even if it wasnt, i dont care, its leather and its 100 times better than cloth

 

Leather upholstery.... under 200.... did you get a chance to smell it? Unless the guy took it off his car and wanted to get rid of it fast, that is not leather

 

i think when i got quoted for an actual kit it was around 1300....i knew it was gonna be high but i never thought it was gonna be that much.Im not even sure if katzkin even sells discounted stuff on ebay from the factory itself.

 

if the guy is happy with it, let him be.

katzkin is junk anyway they use the belly of the cow which is the thin an crap. as far as i saw they are easy to install...

I suggest taking to auto repolster thats what i did for about 1500 for vinyl and looks great..

 

the guy said it was katzskins, if its not i dont care it was cheap for no matter what the material was anyway, even if it was vinyl or cloth...thats ok though, i was just wondering if anyone has attempted this before i didnt want to start an arugment on here over leather prices...

you said you paid 1500 for the vinyl, about how much did the guy charge you for installation because i am goign to attempt the install myself and if i become totally confused i will jsut take it somewhere.
