Thanks for the opinions, at least a few people are on my side! But it is my ride, and as long as I like it that's all that matters. I'm not into being too ricey myself either, no neons or huge vinyls, no 4 ft. wing or crazy body kit, no lambo doors, etc. But I really wanted a vented hood. Also, check this out guys, right out of Import Tuner, Nov. 08'. They gained an average of 2.5 horsepower, and lower engine temps, and the hood they tested with is alot like mine.

don't mind the negative opinions, I get the same response from my hood. People will tell you to get oem this, oem that when even their cars aren't even oem styled. I call it a little hypocritical myself. The whole point of modding a car is to make it "not oem". I bought my hood for a reason, looked good, looked good, and it's light. Plus insurance paid a big chunk of it, so why not?
The fact is, vented hoods do exactly what they're designed to do, vent. Now depending on the application, the heat transfer may not be great enough to gain power, but it does it's job none-the-less. It's basically about style when it comes to civics, as well as a little weight savings.

it looks better but like most people here id go with a oem style cf hood myself. i used to like those vented hoods but i just got over them in time...
plus if it rains doesnt that vent also let water into the engine bay? i know its not good to get water around the distributor area....
hell i used to want to get a plexiglass hood to show off the engine bay, even a stock motor.LOL but with a plexiglass hood its a STEAL ME bilboard.
to each there own. not my style but my style doesnt matter to you and nor does your style to mine. do what you want and dont let anyone change your mind.
