Down to metal with paint could be option but will have to make it look right with the raised trunk deck im putting in for my system. *only weight extra ill have on my car..* one 10 inch sub and an amp/ will equal out from pulling spare tire though..

 

fiberglass the top of the box and spray that too..

 

only issue with that will be making a cutout then for a top layer sheet which will expose the sub.. might be able to put a screen under the cutout though.. my only other prob would be making sure its something that wont get messed up too easily .. as i am putting a small rack in car to load my mini pocket rocket in..
