Nice work. I replaced the carpeting in my car from grey to black. Looks nice except for a bit of a mistake of over cut carpet. Anyway, I am worried if I paint the interior parts black, it's going to peel and easily since it's flexible. What kind of paint (and primer) did you use?

The plastic parts you don't really have to worry about they don't flex much, the only thing you have to worry of them is dinging them accidentally. For plastic ones I used duplicolor: black primer, high gloss black, and clear. And then for the dashboard and doors (which do flex) I used just gloss black duplicolor vinyl/fabric spray. Some of the plastic parts have been painted for 2 months now and show no signs of flaking (only scratches from where my sister kicked some parts by accident when she got in the car). Overall everything looks excellent.

I think I am gonna role with Krylon Fusion on the plastic parts, and Dupli-Color vinyl for the flexible parts. They say it is totaly flexible and wont chip, etc..

Dupli color doesn't make a nice yellow, its kind of a ghetto yellow, I don't like it. I will post some pics when I get around to it.

I am gonna sand-prep those parts too, I don't care what the can says, a small dab of sanding has to help that base coat stick.

i wouldn't sand it ...scotch brite pads and scuff stuff(preps plastic pieces) sanding would leave scratches unless u used really light paper but thats what this well known shop does in my area and thats what i did..

I used 1000 grit sandpaper and sanded all the parts by hand.

So does anyone know how to get the passenger airbag. I followed the Hayne's Manual and it said: Remove the bolts (which I did) and then it said: remove the airbag from the dashboard. But the problem is I can't get it out. I try to push it up through but its like the plastic top is attached or something, I'm not sure though.
