Yeah, if i were gonna go cheap i would just buy some foam and make a mold of my own style lip then just fiber glass over the foam. then remove the foam, trim the fiberglass then paint. Maybe harder and longer, but its paintable, rigid, and probably better to mount as your can use screws. plus you can make your own style lip and it will also have a better fit.
I would only do this in my situation cus i have a 1991 hatch with a front lip but i am finding it sooo hard to easily get side lips and a rear one too. for other people, just buy a used lip and just sand it good, fix any cracks and paint it. (what i did, i got my front lip for 20 bucks and i looks brand new now.)

i kinda like it. if i still had the civic id give it a shot.
also idk if anyone noticed, but his upper and lower grilles were gutterguard
$2 a section at home depot, cut to fit and put it in w zipties looks just like a mesh grille lol i have one in my durango, looks mint
