Default Im new...LED taillights blowing FUSE.HELP!!

Im new so if there is a thread about his shoot me link. If not I have a 2004 civic and I bought new LED taillights. Plug and Play. I hooked up drivers side only and turned on lights.Didnt even come on andblew stock 15amp fuse. SMALL LIGHT FUSE #2 Went to a 25 amp and it came on like 3 secs and blew again. No question is a dumb question..haha. Should I keep bumping up the AMPS, should i install both and maybe that will make the difference? Any advice from you guys would be greatly appreciated. I have these in hand and very anxious to see them on my ride. Thanks

You don't need a bigger fuse, LEDs take up such little power, I use a .5 amp for like 40 LEDS. Is there a ground that you are missing? or are live wires touching any metal?

other then that, you can try hooking up both tail lights and see if that works..

Did you buy it off ebay? sometimes the wires come crossed, and that could keep popping the fuses. Oh and DONT GO HIGHER FUSE, you can burn your car with an electrical fire

I dont think you have to ground them. I mean the plug for the LED plugs in exactly where the bulb goes. Ill attach some pics tomorrow and give you a better idea of what im working with. In the mean time Ill try and plug both up together and see what happens.

I bought them off a guy who totaled his car but yes the kind I have you can purchase them off ebay as well as private sellers. WHat do you mean crossed? Ill post a pic tomorrow of the adapter as well as email the previous owner and see what he done.

When i bought my led tails from ebay, the backup and brake light were touching somehow, so i reached in and separated all the wires, and it worked perfectly. But to you it sounds like something is not right in the tailight. Its probably a wire that is touching something that is making your car burn the fuse. But dont put higher fuses beecause the wires get very hot and can start on fire if you put a high enough fuse
