RE: honda lowering kit
pretty d**m low. I'm on 17's and tucking tire all the way around (tucking the tread up front and half the tire out back).
the only time I rub is when I'm coming around a tight, low-speed turn and I hit a bump

Yeah, be carefull my brother was rubbin in his vdub and it took one train track to peel a 2 inch strip off his front tire. With 15's you will be alright, any bigger and you should bend the quarter panel lip. I guess it depends on how stiff your supension is, but IMO 15"-16" look mint. Reaper your civic looks sick, just seems like high matinence.

^ not really, if the wheel is the correct width and offset, and you have the right tire size, it's really no problem. Also, if you have some negative camber, it lets the tires tuck when you hit a bump (provided the wheel and tires are the right size), so you don't rub at all (well, if you're tucking up front you'll rub around turns obviously).

when picking rims b e sure to look for the right offset on the wheel! thats the major thing people dont think about! so just do your research and buy the right size offset and width wheel. with 7inch wide wheels ive heard that 40-45mm offset is good. and try to keep the tire size to the same outter diameter of stock. like for 17s its 205-40-17 tires my wheels are 42mm offset.
but it depends HOW LOW you go... or how much negative camber you wanna rock to prevent from crushing the fenders

I have my car lowered like 1.5 inches what size rims would look good on it? It's a 99 civic hatchback. It's red also. What color rims would you go with? Would gold look bad? it also has 5% tint on it also if that matters on the color of the rim

WITH PICKING RIMS.... YOU REALLY REALLY need to use your own judgement!!!! look at the civic picture threads....
check out the stickies... look at all the pictures and then try to find that wheel that you like.
because if YOUR NOT HAPPY with YOUR pick then your just wasting money!!!! i cannt stress that enough!!!!
when you buy rims new... youll never get half the money back from them! hell almost imposible to get your money back from tires even if you just bought them and the sticker is still on them!
its HIGHLY UNLIKELY that youll even get 3/4ths your money back if ya buy them new. so think hard and ensure you buy the right tire size as well as well as wheel offset/bolt pattern!
