Default HID projector retrofits

For those that do not know what a retrofit is, it refers to the taking of HID components from OEM equipped cars and properly mounting them into a stock halogen headlight housing. This in effect gives you OEM HID in your car; a colorful projection, a sharp cutoff, and even light distribution without the nasty side effects of aftermarket “kits”. Most people just throw in an aftermarket HID “kit” and think they have all the advantages of brighter and safer lighting when that is the opposite of what they get. “Kits” cause blinding glare do to the simple fact that HID bulbs were not designed with halogen applications in mind, and halogen was not designed with HID in mind. The focal points do not match up and the results are glare and improperly focused light patterns, not to mention the poor quality of “kits”. Whether you are going for show or function, HID lighting is the way to go, and to do it right you have to go with a retrofit.

I’ve been doing retros on many different cars focusing on acura/honda, mostly specializing in the RSX. I just wanted to show some of my work. There are lots of pictures and feedback about my work below, these are some samples from basic retros to dual projector setups etc.

And feel free to ask me anything you want about HID, retrofitting, CCFL, etc.
Sorry about pic quality, I am not the best photographer.

You can get some setups done reasonably. Best of all, properly designed retrofits are legal whereas the cheaper and less safe alternatives, like aftermarket HID kits are not. E-mail me for prices and information, but I can guarantee you that I have the best prices out there over anyone at the same or better quality.

Ok, multiple question time. Do you only work on imports? Also, have you, or, could you do an HID retrofit on an 06 Civic LX? My first question is in regards to my Jeep. I've got a 92 Cherokee i almost purchased a "kit" from. I was attempting to find some sort of projector lens so that it would properly distribute the light. And, as a B part to that question, I have a 91 CBR F2600 motorcycle, and, i am lookin into putting an HID setup in that as well. Please let me know if you are able to assist. Thanks in advance

I'm laughing now....
No the HID kits will not be legal in Cali. Don't know about other states, but if the car didn't roll off the factory floor with HID it better not drive with them.

Also..what types of jigs or set up do you use to get acurate placement of the OEM donor projectors to the headlamp housings? Do you eyeball it, or do you have a custum jig for each and every headlamp you do (x2 for left right side)??

As long as California adopts Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, which they do, a properly designed retrofit is perfectly legal. All lighting has to conform to FMVSS 108 photometry requirements, which any properly designed retrofit will. Some states, towns, districts will have additional motor vehicle lighting ordinance, but that almost always applies to the use of specific colros and strobes reserved for emergency response vehicles. In California the big emphasis is on emissions standards, which is understandable, that does not effect lighting.

And yes, we do use jigs for each and every headlamp we do (and that means x2 for both sides), unless adjustability is built into the redesign allowing end user adjustments.

Now those are the exact conversions that I'm looking for, but I've got a 01 Civic. Are those available for my car, and if they are where can I get them, and are they relatively simple to install myself?
