Help Wiring HID lights

So should i split the black wire into two places and the red wire into the one on the left?

Red goes in the low beam slot. Black goes in the common. Nothing goes in the high beam, becuase you'll have to high beam with this kit.

To answer the question about the bulb, yes that is the correct bulb. Your "other" kit must have had a high beam halogen bulb as well.

I tried it that way but it didnt work

I tried it that way but it didnt work
the picture posted was for looking at the back of the connector, the low beam(red)goes on the top and the ground(black) goes on the right.

Thanks for all the help guys, i did try it that way but it didnt work............tried it again and this time pushed it in harder till i heard a click and it worked perfectly. Heres a pic if anyone else wants a reference.

Awesome, glad you got it working! Make sure you seal that you real good, you don't want that getting wet.

p.s. the reason I was so confused was because I have projectors that can with an adapter, thus I plug those wires further down.
