Here ya go. BackYard Special bumper. Personally, I think it looks retarded without a giant intercooler behind it, but that's neither here nor there. And I don't feel like getting into that argument with trust again

i really hope you guys dont think im spamming I'm just trying to narrow down what look I am looking for...I reallythink this is how I want the front of my car to look: http://i34.tinypic.com/67qmuw.jpg

Is this just a facelift car with a Type R lip and Type R grill?

Yeah, that's just a CTR lip and grille on a '99/'00.

Personally, I prefer the '99/'00 front end over the '96-'98 since it has more options for front lips and whatnot, but to do the swap you have to swap out the fenders, hood, headlights, bumper, and grille. I'd say for the '96-98 front end, the Type-R lip is the best option.

BYS is awesome, I seen one on the local craigslist for cheap about a month ago, I agree with reaper though, it needs an intercooler haha

I think Im going to go with the facelift. I know I have to get a hood, fenders, bumper, and grill but I think it looks nicer.

I saw some posts where people got all the needed parts for 600 or so. I just need to start doing some parts hunting I guess. I know passwordjdm sells a conversion kit, but I will get diff headlights I think and I dont want to buy the cf hood they try to get you to purchase with their "hoodless" kit and they seem overpriced in general.

Whats weird is that passwordjdm doesnt include the hood in the conversion "kit" which you can really use without buying a hood.

I'll have to try to find that lip you mentioned (ctr)....btw........thanks for all the responses...its really helping me narrow down.

So style question:
I am thinking I'll be able to spend about 4k on the car. I am really hoping I can get a paint job out of this: 1k max for body, 1k for wheels and tires, 1.5-2k for paint

Should I go dark charcoal, black wheels, tint, smoked head lights and tail lights or bright blue, white wheels, clear head lights, clear tail lights (like that pic)

I think I like both approaches. Im guessing the charcoal will show dirt/dust less but man that electron blue looks nice! I wonder which is cheaper to get painted on the car?

Well, if you're doing the facelift, you have a lot more lips to choose from. Personally, my favorite is HMotorsOnline's Spoon-style lip:

For $4k you should be able to get what you want done, though. And I wouldn't think the price would change depending on the color (obviously brand of paint would make a difference)... either way they have to sand the car down and spray primer.

Oh, and my vote goes towards dark charcoal. Electron Pearl Blue is an amazing color, but it's a little overdone anymore.
