im sorry that i didn't get to this sooner i would have used the door/hood pin switch they are so easy i use them all the time on remote starts they have a spring in them so when the door opens the spring unloads the pressure when this happens the two pieces of metal come together and complete the circut they are fool proof as far as the magnets ive never worked with them so i don't know but it sounds like you've got it under control so im lookin forward to the pics

you can't use the pin switch. the pin switch has to go where two different surfaces come together parallel, and there's no place in the glove box that that happens at, that i know of

i just got the chance to upload the pictures, i think it turned out pretty good. besides a few scratches from using the dremel to make the hole for the switch. here's the pics, let me know what you guys think
