do you think there is enough wires to work with?do i need anymore wires besides the ones that comes with the LED bulbs and maybe the switch? can i use the same wire of the bulbs as the ground wire?

by grounding wire do i just find a bolt, unscrew it a little and wrap a piece of wire around and screw back on?

for the switch how does the wire connect to the switch, and how do i connect the wire to the cig lighter. can i solder the wire onto the metal part in the back of the cig lighter?

and by this "and then splicing all of their (+) and (-) leads together into 2 wires." do you mean twisting the + wires together and the - wire together?

BTW, i just thought of something else, to have the light automatically come on when i open the glove box. is this possible, maybe by using one of these http://www.oznium.com/pin-switch what do you think?

 

you'll need a small spindle of like, 20-something gauge wire.

yea but the wires on the bulbs are too short so you'll have to splice all the (-) wires together and add a longer wire to where they are spliced together and then run that wire to the ground. do the same thing for running (+) wires to the switch, and from the switch to the cigarette lighter wiring)


yea, but I would use a ring connector at the end of the wire and bolt that down.

The switch comes with some wire leads hanging off of it. You can just connect your wires to those.
There's wires coming off the back of the cigarette lighter. Strip a little bit of insulation away (after you figure out which wire is the 12V (+) wire) and then wrap your long wire from the LEDs' end around the exposed wire. Solder that or at least tightly wrap some electrical tape.

Each LED has 2 wires coming off of it. A (+) and a (-). Twist all (+) wires together and twist all (-) wires together. Then run a wire from the twisted together (-) wires to your ground. After that, run a wire from the twisted together (+) wires to the wire on the back of the cigarette lighter.

Yea those. But I would get them from a hardware store, it'll be much cheaper and you can get a small package of them

I have never messed with one of those. I don't think there's anywhere to mount it in the glove box though that will work. It's mainly for hoods and trunk lids.

also, for the terminal ring, is there a certain gauge size i need to get or are they pretty much universal.

do you think i should add some leds to the area behind the cup holder,and maybe mount the switch in there. not sure if you know what i mean

very simply 2 wires... just conect the one wire to the ground and the other wire from the sensor to your leds ground wires. pretty simple at least.... just have to figure out where to mount it on the glove box and dash...

and just off the top of my head id say put the magnetic piece on the glove boxs lip on the side... and put the wired sensor to the dash trim like the center lower section... just use some tape to hold the sensors inplace until you find the perfect spot and then just use some HOT GLUE to hold the sensors inplace.

like always i prefer hot glue because theres no messy glue to remove if you remove and move the piece and no holes from any screws also. so clean up is very easy and it holds strong as long as the mounting spot is clean of course.
